Field Trips
A field trip at Camp Owaissa Bauer is no ordinary experience - make it an extraordinary time for your students with one or more of these special programs. All field trips include up to five (5) hours of exclusive use of the park and the use of the following amenities: dining hall/kitchen/rec patio/shelters/picnic tables/ open recreation fields/volleyball/basketball courts/softball field/ bath house and bus parking.

Educational & Recreational Programs:
- Snails and Trails – Join us on the hunt to find the elusive Linguus Tree Snails that call Camp Owaissa
Bauer home. Learn about the gastropods that inhabit South Florida and the mysteries that surround
them. - Wings and Things – Learn about the winged wonders that call Camp Owaissa Bauer home. In this
program students will discover the vast number of birds that you can find in South Florida. They will
learn the similarities and differences between bats and owls, discover their role in our ecosystem and
learn how these magnificent creatures have adapted to changing environments. - Bat Walk – Participants will get a first-hand look at the bats living at Camp Owaissa Bauer. During this
night hike we will be looking for a variety of nocturnal creatures while discussing their role in our
ecosystem.
